Valencia

On April 28, the day of the Feast of Saint Vincent Ferrer, a parade crossed the historic center of Valencia. Saint Vincent Ferrer was a Dominican preacher born in Valencia in 1350 and canonized in 1455; this festival celebrates the city's patron saint with a procession. Local associations and religious confraternities roamed the streets, accompanied by a few brass bands.

The crowd was large, with parents and children watching from the sidewalks or from adorned balconies. The procession followed a route through the Cathedral quarter, stopping in front of several churches. It is a local celebration, perpetuated for generations, with no particular tourist dimension.
